Downfall was its just a little cramped. Most RVs in park are there permanently, or for a year, or however long. I was there 3 days, and most RVs I saw, nobody ever came or went.
Plenty of good spots to choose from when out on a boat looking for a private place to set up for the day. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Bathrooms are a mess. Only a couple machines work in the iaundy facility. Worse yet when I left the owner took 500 from my debit card that I did not approve. Then showed up at my job demanding more and told me his wife was gonna own my camper. Over all run down. Enjoy your stay
Came here because of the Passport America program. I did see in the notes that it does not apply during Clemson home game weekends. However, I am here on a Thursday and was still told I had to pay the full rate because there is a game this weekend. Unfortunately, its too late in the day to go somewhere else. Also - the PA app says rates are $27- $35. I would guess that $35 is for 50 amp. Nope. I'm 30 amp and still charged $37. They also refused to give me a Good Sam discount or military discount. I am guessing that there are better deals for people that live here as 90% of the campers here are full time. I know its slim pickin's for an RV park in this area but we will not be returning.
Traveling across SC, it was time to camp for the night. I called and got a reservation. The lady was very accommodating. We were scheduled to arrive after the office closed, she left our info taped to the office door. Our campsite was near the entrance and even had a deck for our tent. The mosquitoes weren't that bad. I really liked the way the showers were set up. It was like having your own personal bathroom. The showers were very modern almost like home. The night before we had gotten caught in a rain storm and all our clothes were soaked. I was glad to get a hot shower and wash clothes. The dryers did take longer to dry than they should. It was quiet and peaceful. There were two negatives 1) most of the sites are leased and people have made it there home. There are many campers and trailers with additions and ( not necessarily junk) just items stored and stacked all around. 2) There was a family in a cabin near us that had sewage issues in the cabin around 7:00 p.m. The issue had not been addressed when we checked out at 12:00 p.m. the following day. I found that very unprofessional, after all this family had paid for a nice cabin and had to spend the night in a septic backup nightmare.
The staff was great, its a nice quiet park.
